The Need

Why this work matters

Our founder established this institution with the vision of providing education, dignity, and a better quality of life to intellectually disabled and specially-abled children in society.

There remains a significant unmet need for special education and rehabilitation services for children with intellectual disabilities in Maharastra. Many children still do not have access to specialized education, therapy, or residential facilities due to limited availability of special schools and financial constraints.

The Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan historically estimates that anywhere from 22,000 to over 50,000 disabled youth across the state remain completely un-enrolled or have dropped out permanently due to a severe deficit of special educators and accessible infrastructure.
